Youth

Youth make up an important part of our community and will be an essential part of our community's future. The Town is committed to fostering a youth friendly community where young people feel engaged and connected.

The Georgian Bay Youth Roots is here to represent you! The goal is to have the views of young people heard by our Town and to be consulted on issues of youth importance. Georgian Bay Youth Roots welcomes all newcomers to the meetings-power in numbers!

Why get involved?

You don’t have to wait until you are out of school or over 15 to be a leader. You can have sway and a strong presence in your community right now! You have every right to take a stand and push for something you feel is lacking or fight for something you don’t want to see go. Not only is it satisfying to accomplish such goals but it looks great on your resume. You can build amazing networking skills and contacts, strengthen our community and have fun!

Commitment

We know you are busy so we have general meetings three to four times a year. However, as we plan events or work on projects we may meet as small task groups more often. Please visit the Beaver Valley Outreach (BVO) for more information.

Mental Health Apps

If sharing your feelings with others isn't really your thing, consider a mobile app that will help you monitor your mental health. Check out Psychiatry Advisor's Top 10 Mental Health Apps for a sample of what's available.
