Pickleball has become an extremely popular sport for residents in The Blue Mountains.
Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis. The game is played on a badminton size court with a whiffle ball, about the size of a tennis ball; and a solid smooth surface, short handled paddle larger than a ping pong paddle. The game is easy to learn and you do not have to be a great athlete to play.
There are a number of independent Pickleball groups offering programs out of the Beaver Valley Community Centre (Large Hall) at 58 Alfred Street West in Thornbury.
For more information, please contact Thornbury Pickleball or visit Pickleball Association of Ontario.
