Licences

The Town issues lottery licences on behalf of the Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) .  Please review the information below for more information about the application process.

The Town can also issue marriage licences on behalf of the Office of the Registrar General.

To apply for a lottery license or a marriage license, please contact the Clerks Office for an appointment.

Lottery Licences

The AGCO requires groups to obtain a lottery licence where there is a chance to win a prize for a fee including:

  • 50-50 draws
  • Raffles
  • Sale of Nevada tickets

To apply for a lottery licence:

  1. Complete an application
  2. Mail or hand deliver the application to the Clerk's Office at Town Hall
  3. Pay the licence fee (3% of the value of the prize) up to a maximum fee of $100
  4. Allow for five working days for licence processing

After the lottery is over:

*Please note that the signed original Lottery License Report must be submitted thirty (30) days after the date of the event to the Clerk's Office.

Couples wishing to be married in Ontario are required to complete the Marriage Licence Application form, commissioned by the Town, which must be signed by both individuals getting married.  You can apply for your Marriage Licence within 90 days before getting married. The licence expires 90 days after the date of issue.

The fee for a marriage licence is $150.00 which includes HST. Methods of payment include Cash or Debit.
