The goal of the Leisure Activities Plan (LAP) project is to anticipate and plan for the growing and changing recreational activity needs and desires within the community. When complete, the updated plan will identify and prioritize community wants and desires and recommend a sound and realistic course of action to deliver recreation facilities, programs, and services to our residents.
The study will identify opportunities for recreation, and examine the need for a multi-use recreation facility.
Parks and recreation organizations have a great responsibility in the communities they serve. The mission of parks and recreation groups is not only to provide opportunities for citizens to be active and to get outdoors but also to increase the general well-being and quality of life.
Survery and Public Engagement
Feedback from the community residents and stakeholders is vital as we proceed with the project. We are committed to consulting with the community -- via a detailed survey, stakeholder interviews, and focus group meetings.
